A lot of schools are starting to implement MERV 13 electrostatic air filters to help combat children�s respiratory infections and the effects of pollutants.. The electrostatic charge of the filters works as a magnet to draw airborne particles to them. 16x25x4 MERV 13 filters are pleated, electrostatically charged filters. However, it is reasonable to specify that individuals buy a filter with a rating of at least MERV 13 to maintain good indoor air superior in common types of spaces. This means the 16x25x4 furnace filter should be selected based on the specific building location, occupancy, air high-grade issues and type and operation of the HVAC system. This happens more effectively as the filter gets dirty. 16x25x4 MERV 13 filters are right on the cusp of being classified as �medium efficiency MERV pleated air filters� and �high efficiency MERV pleated air filters.� A 16x25x4 furnace filter that has received a rating of MERV 7�13 is about as effective as true HEPA filters at controlling a majority of airborne particles. Since we are constantly trying to improve indoor air high-grade, it only makes sense that we would offer air conditioner filter MERV 13.
